The 2012 Millennium Cup regatta kicked off today in Auckland, New Zealand, with Georgia emerging victorious in the first race. The event was formally opened the previous evening with a welcome briefing and cocktail event at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron.
The countdown to the Millennium Cup has begun, with less than a month until the regatta starts in Auckland. Organisers have revealed more details about the regatta courses, with the event beginning at 11am on Thursday, February 16th with a harbour race.
With less than a month to go, excitement is building for the Millennium Cup to kick off. The event, held from 15-18 February 2012, is now an annual fixture on the superyacht circuit, and is set to become the premier Superyacht regatta of the South Pacific.
