2012 ENTRIES

JANICE OF WYOMING

S/Y Janice of Wyoming launched on 10 April 2005 built to Lloyd's classification. She is the twelfth design from Dubois Naval Architects built by Alloy Yachts since 1991. A 39.6m (130ft) sloop, Janice features a low profile hull that offers a sleek shape and high performance. This is the second Millennium Cup for Janice of Wyoming.

IMAGINE

Launched in 2010, the 44m S/Y Imagine features classic low, sleek lines and large cockpit, enhanced with the state-of-the-art technology that Alloy Yachts has produced since 1993. Alloy Yachts and Dubois Naval Architects have constructed a high-performance superyacht with the technical sailing attributes of a much smaller racing yacht, and she will be one to watch in the Millennium Cup 2012.

GEORGIA

Christened at the stroke of midnight 2000, the 48.5m S/Y Georgia became the first superyacht of the new Millennium. Another Alloy build, Georgia was the world’s largest sloop at the time of her launch. Georgia is a Scanu, Dalrymple-Smith, Johnson design and was the Showboats 2000 award winner: Most Innovative Sailing Yacht/Best Sailing Yacht Over 38m. We are proud to welcome Georgia to her second Millennium Cup.

ECLIPSE

The 32 m S/Y Eclipse was built at Alloy Yachts in 1991. This luxury vessel's sophisticated exterior design and engineering are the work of Dubois. Having arrived back in Auckland from French Polynesia only days before the regatta, we are thrilled to have S/Y Eclipse on the startline for the NZ Millennium Cup 2012.

SILVERTIP

Defender of the Millennium Cup, high performance sloop 33.8m Silvertip was built in 2001 of composite construction by Yachting Developments for performance, comfort and long distance cruising ability with striking and innovative design by Ed Dubois. She won both the Superyacht Society "Best Sailing Yacht" and Showboats "Best Sailing Yacht" awards in her class - the first yacht ever to win both awards.
